Conference Facilities and Meeting Rooms in Devon

High Bickington Community Centre is a versatile venue available for hire by businesses and corporate companies for meetings, conferences and events. With a choice of spacious rooms on offer, alongside ample conferencing facilities including staging, projection screens, white boards, tables, seating and hearing loops, this North Devon based conferencing venue is able to accommodate a small business meeting or a large corporate event and conference easily.

Our rural location offers a peaceful and tranquil escape for your business event, yet is only 20 minutes from Barnstaple,  15 minuteds from South Molton and 30 miles from Exeter. Exeter St. David’s train station is easily accessible in under an hour. Bideford, South Molton and Torrington are also within half an hour’s drive (For maps and directions, please visit our contact page).

Meeting Rooms and Conferencing Halls

The Pyncombe Room is our most popular space for hosting meetings and small conferencing events. It is circa 60 square metres and suitable for up to 60 guests (approx).Facilities in the Pyncombe Room include a large drop-down projection screen and white board, tables and chairs. Hearing loops are fitted across the building. Wireless internet is accessible via a code, please ask for details in the office.

The Meeting Room can be found on the first floor and is accessible via the main staircase or via the outside ramp leading to the playing field. The room is suitable for upto 30 guests, theatre style, or 21 guests conference style. It has it’s own small kitchen with a zip water heater and crockery. We have fitted the room with a projector and Bluetooth speaker.

The Main Hall is suitable for larger events and can hold up to 200 guests. The hall is equipped with a cinema size drop-down screen, projection equipment and a portable stage (6m x 5m) which makes it perfect for conferences and presentations. The Main Hall has a hatch that leads through to the kitchen (details below) to provide easy access for catered events.

Kitchen Facilities and Bars

We have a large kitchen available for use by our business guests, fitted with a commercial dishwasher, double sinks, 2 hobs & ovens, a microwave and an instant heat water boiler for tea and coffees. We can provide refreshments or alternatively are happy to recommend local catering teams if required.

High Bickington Community Centre is licensed for the sale of alcohol and we welcome guests to bring mobile bars. There is ample space within the light and airy reception area to hold a bar or buffet table. This is usually a popular option for our guests as it provides a break out area away from the main event room.

Further to our meeting rooms and conference halls we also have ample outside space for hosting outdoor events.
